Contrary to popular belief, the 'iPhone 5' was not announced and it will not be released any time soon. However the iPhone 4S will be released next Friday in the US and a few more countries.
The rest of the details can be found pretty much anywhere on the internet (including my Twitter).
What I really want to talk about is what this 'iPhone 4S' really means.
This morning when I woke up to watch the event live, I was also disappointed at the lack of the iPhone 5.
But what is this iPhone 5 everyone was really waiting for? What if they just called the iPhone 4S as the iPhone 5?
Here's a list of expectations:
- Design change (mentioned in my previous post)
- A larger 4" screen
- Improved 8MP camera
- Faster processor
- Larger memory
- Larger flash memory
- Some magical feature
- Improved 8MP camera, more specifically
- five element lens
- 30% more sharpness
- f/2.4 aperture
- face detection
- 1080p HD Video Recording
- Up to 2x faster with dual core graphics 7x faster
- 64GB models
- Siri
All this Apple bashing with no real justified reasons on Twitter and Facebook is making me rage. But I suppose
