There we have it.
Approximately ten years after its rise in popularity, I've decided to start a blog.
Did you know, that blog is actually a contraction of weblog? (no not really but who really gives a shit Sean?)
I guess I never really started a blog because I never really had anything too interesting going on in my life that was worth sharing to the world. High school life was pretty routine, now that I think about it. Every weekday is the same, wake up, get ready, school, homework, sleep. And I guess very subtle variations that happen every so often. Weekends... I don't even remember what I used to do. Obviously nothing too fun.
Does that mean that my life is now suddenly so interesting I HAD to start a blog? Not really. Before I get to why, here's just a blurb on something else.
As some of you know (because I've been telling everyone about it seeing how excited I am about this), I have applied for an exchange program to Seoul National University in Korea for 2010. At first it was just yay Korea!!! :D But now that I've handed in the application form and am now awaiting an interview, it's really hit me recently. For one whole year, or possibly longer, I will be a 12 hour flight away from pretty much everyone I care about and/or love and/or know.
I know from past experience that as much as I hate to admit it, being that far away from anyone, you really find yourself being excluded from their lives and what not. When I went to Korea during Christmas holidays last year I tried to keep people updated by having a flickr account. It really wasn't enough.
So hopefully, through this blog, I won't lose the connection between people :) Of course, I'd need to be less lazy and actually blog regularly LOL
I would so format this to be better looking but frankly, I cbfed atm argh. Maybe from post #2.
P.s. follow me on Twitter LOL
EDIT: Note to self, find a better blog skin and edit color scheme.
Im gonna miss you Sean! =D but don't think keepin a blog will help much. when I was in Japan, I was completely isolated frm the rest of the world. -.- and since the city that I lived in was in a countryside, I didn't get to see a lot of waeguk saramdul either. so once I came back, I thought I had lost the cnnection with everyone that I loved/known before, but man na myon dashi genchana jeo. =D gidal lilge!! uri modu!! kkk nan France eso. heehee
